The Archive, housed in the Dorset
County Museum in Dorchester, is extensive,
containing letters to and from Sylvia Townsend Warner and Valentine
Ackland with friends, relatives and publishers; manuscripts and
typescripts; diaries of both authors, drafts of stories and poems;
photographs; galley proofs; music manuscripts, reviews, paintings
and other memorabilia; multiple editions of their writings as well
as books from their personal library and books about them and their
art.
